So whats so wrong with Crockett the reason his kids quit on him? I mean honestly, quitters have bad attitudes. If they are gonna quit, than maybe they just arent "coachable" when it comes to basketball.
Seriously though, why do they quit for? Is Crockett just to mean, too hard on them?
if someone ever quits a sport because a coach is too "hard" on them, they seriously need to fill that empty sack with a tater..or 2
I agree with you knight_67 if your gonna start playing a sport, you should stick it out.
But seriously have you guys seen Crockett coach.........The Haysi game was horrible........played a 2-3 zone for 3 quarters and let Haysi shoot the lights out of the ball.........then in the 4th quarter he went man to man and they cut the lead to 6, but Haysi pulled away............I also heard that he told a player that they weren't a pressing team.....look at the quickness he has on the team.............the offense cracks me up.......PG brings the ball up the floor, one pass and the ball is in the air......run some offense, set screens, work the ball around for an open shot this is not college we don't have a shot clock.............
Another thing I did not understand from the Haysi game, is PV was on a 7-0 run, and had the momentum......and Crockett calls a timeout as soon as PV was taking off on a fast break...........beats all I've ever seen..............
I know coaching is hard, but when you have the talent he has, and still can't make a regional tournament something has got to give......................
Listen guys. I know Crockett has had his share of brain farts, but all of us have. As far as boys quitting, then let them quit. I know if I was coaching I sure wouldn't ask them to come back. That just let's them know that you aren't in control at all. Frustration is one of life's experiences, maturity comes out of learning to deal with life's "bumps and bruises" I see the same thing happening here at P.V. basketball as what has happened in the past with Kelly's football program. We all have to learn, I certainly have.
But Coach Crockett was LPD Coach of the Year last year! How can he be so bad if that's the case?
I was thinking the same thing. He was a great coach last year. COY in LPD.
Brad was POY too, remember that???
Crap in, crap out.
Its not my fault that everyone else realzlied who the best was.
